Thousands gather in PJ to express outrage
PETALING JAYA: Thousands turned up at a special gathering organised by the Pakatan Rakyat here in memory of Teoh Beng Hock who died in the vicinity of the Selangor Malaysian Anti-Corrup- tion Commission office on Thurs- day.
Those present at the Kelana Jaya Stadium pressed for the setting up of a Royal Commission of Inquiry to investigate the mysterious death of Teoh.
Most of those who were at the stadium wore black, holding banners and posters of Teoh.
Among the banners read ‘MACC Murderer?’ and ‘Justice For Beng Hock’.
White flowers were also distributed among the crowd at the rally that lasted more than two hours.
At one point, some Pakatan supporters burnt copies of two Bahasa Malaysia dailies to show their disgust that the issue was politicised by the dailies.
Pakatan leaders who attended the gathering included DAP chairman Karpal Singh, Kelantan PAS deputy commissioner II Datuk Husam Musa, Penang Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng and state exco members Elizabeth Wong and Teresa Kok.
Teoh was assisting the commission in investigations pertaining to alleged misappropriation of allocations involving several Selangor assemblymen.
DAP adviser Lim Kit Siang, who was one of the leaders who spoke at the Kelana Jaya Stadium yesterday, said the many were still “sad and angry” over the incident that shocked the nation.
In Butterworth, Guan Eng said the party would set up a fund for Teoh’s unborn child.
Teoh’s fiancee Soh Cher Wei, 28, a schoolteacher, who is two months’ pregnant, had said that she would keep the baby and probably apply for a transfer to be with her own family in Batu Pahat, Johor.
More than 1,000 people are expected to gather at Teoh’s family home in Taman Seri Kelemak, Malacca, to pay their final respects before his burial ceremony at the Nirvana Memorial Park in Semenyih today.
According to NV Multi Corpora- tion Berhad senior general manager Datuk Freddy L.F. Chan, the funeral ceremony is scheduled to begin at 8.30am before Teoh’s cortege leaves for the burial in Semenyih at 11am.
See! I've told you guys. He is damn famous! Obviously, because he is the political secretary of DAP, his death has turned into a political issue. Thousand turned up at a special gathering organised by his former political party, Pakatan Rakyat, IN MEMORY i repeat IN MEMORY of the late teoh beng hock who died in the vicinity of Selangor MACC office late thursday. It is also reported that most people who attend the event wore black, holding banners and posters of Teoh. Posters of Teoh???!!!! Wah, mcm Michael Jackson lah. MAn, this people are BLOODY HYPOCRITE! They only did it for political gain.Hmm, there are also some banners that said " MACC MURDERER?". What the hell is that? Just because the late mr Teoh died in the vicinity of Selangor MACC office, does not make the MACC is the MURDERER. Bloody idiot! It is just another event that wanted to question MACC accountability and test the Government patient. In the event, there are also some Pakatan supporters that burned up and tore two Bahasa Malaysia dailies to show their disgust that the dailies had politicised the issue. FISH THEM!!! After this , I also want to hold a special gathering to burnt those people for politicizing mr teoh death. Their act had shown that they are politicizing the issue. FISH THEM AGAIN!!!
From my point of view I see the death of mr teoh has turned into a political issue. He is fortunate that he was destined to die at the Selangor MACC office, if he died at the Prime Minister office I bet this country will turn upside down just because of his untimely death. Maybe and I said maybe and IF Pakatan Rakyat manage to force Barisan Nasional into snap election and IF Pakatan Rakyat win, I am sure the late Mr Teoh Beng Hock will be lifted as the Pakatan Rakyat TRUE HERO, I bet as Malaysian Mahatma Gandhi.
Last but not least, I really felt sorry for his death, I dont meant to make a mockery out of his death but I wanted to condemned those people who have made it political. Pakatan Rakyat has made this issue as its 'escape goat' in covering the crack that started to surface in Pakatan Rakyat's boat.
DEEP CONDOLENCES
REST IN PEACE
TEOH BENG HOCK
